It Ain’t Over ‘Til It’s Over

“It ain’t over ’til it’s over.” Didn’t Yogi Berra say that? Though some days I don’t feel it’s worth the effort, my sponsor won’t let me give up on anything—not my job, my marriage, my desire to stop drinking, my basic passion for life. Thank God. My wife and kids and I keep trudging the road; we’re just not certain what our next destination will be. Funny how so many have interpreted the blog as saying the marriage is over, when really, it’s intended to capture the process of uncertainty and how to handle it. Oh well, I guess if I read it objectively, I’d interpret it as the beginning of the end as well. But, instead, I am in the middle of the process. Either way, the process points to yet another new beginning, and that’s what makes it possible to be hopeful. As your comments have indicated, there’s always hope where there’s faith.
