The Curesearch Walk, Darrin To Believe

On Saturday, May 1st, I plan to participate in the Des Moines CureSearch Walk. If you’re wondering why I’m participating in a walk that celebrates and honors children whose lives have been affected by children’s cancer, while raising funds for lifesaving research, please check out my December 1, 2009 blog post titled, Good-Bye Sweet Boy.

To make a quick and easy donation, check out my CureSearch Personal Page. (Link takes you to home page. Click support, then search for Gregory Kayko, click link and donate away.) You have my genuine thanks and appreciation in advance.

To understand more about CureSearch and the Children’s Oncology Group, please read on:

The Children’s Oncology Group is a group of medical professionals who treat more than 90% of children with cancer at over 200 hospitals in the United States. These experts provide world-class care in communities across the country.

Every day, 35 children are diagnosed with pediatric cancer – 7 of those children will not survive. Cancer is the #1 cause of death by disease in children. Although the cure rate is now 78% – up by 30% in the last 20 years – it is not good enough. Our goal is a 100% cure rate.
